Everyday Baskets:
These beautiful fabric baskets will find their way into
every room in your house. They have a hundred uses and
couldn't be easier to make. Two fantastic fat quarters
and a bit of batting and template plastic will bring
this creation to life. Use them everyday and
everywhere. Great for a sewing basket, mail caddy,
coins, keys, cosmetics, candy, etc. This pattern is a "Fat Quarter Cutie". This means these baskets can be made from fat quarter cuts of fabric. Keeping in the Lazy Girl tradition, this project is quick and easy and offers a place to embellish and personalize. Decorate with all kinds of good stuff too. |

WhatNots: What is a
WhatNot? Well, I ask you...What is it Not? It's a
basket, purse, doorstop and more. It's the perfect
practice square too. All you need is two squares of
fabric and a little batting if you like. This is a
great way to use fat quarters and leftover quilt blocks.
It doesn't matter what size your squares are. A WhatNot is the perfect practice square for learning any new technique on your sewing machine. From quilting to new stitches - practice, practice, practice - then make a WhatNot with your practice square. It's a great for practicing other techniques too. Try applique or hand quilting, then make a Whatnot with your practice work. A WhatNot is a great way to use otherwise un-usable leftovers, practice pieces, miscellaneous scraps, old quilt blocks, and of course, fat quarters. The pattern works with any size square. How easy can that be? |

The Essential Tote:
The unique look of this bag is achieved by sewing bands
of fabric to a base fabric, creating a
"pleated" or layered look. Use one fabric for
the bands or use several and alternate for a
coordinated look. Fully lined with interior pocket. Two
handle lengths to choose from. Not designed to carry
heavy objects such as a sewing machine. Base fabric
will create bottom of bag. In keeping with the Lazy Girl tradition, this project is easy to make. All pieces are rotary cut rectangles that fit nicely together. No hand sewing is required. The bag goes together in one final step by layering all rectangles' right sides together for final sewing. |
