Fairmount Park by Lonni Rossi

The motifs in this fabric group were inspired by Philadelphia's world-famous Fairmount Park. Covering 9,200 acres, it is one of our country's oldest and largest landscaped parks. Located within the Park and along the Schuylkill River, is the home of America's first native-born botanist, John Bartram (1699-1777). Bartram's Garden contains a National Historic Landmark house. It was a visit made to this location that inspired Lonni Rossi to create the Fairmount Park Collection for Andover Fabrics. The Astilbe Leaves, Maidenhair Ferns, Queen Anne's Lace and budding Azalea Branch motifs come from plant species all found in Bartram's Garden.
