I have tried using PCD-Cat and it prints my catalog with the wrong colors. Will Buzz Tools Plus be better?Your printing problem probably relates to your printer and the manner in which PCD-Cat prints.If you purchase Buzz Tools Plus, you should be able to print your Buzz Tools catalogs correctly by using the "Fastest" print option. This Buzz Tools print option sends your designs to the printer in a slightly different manner and usually solves this problem. You'll see this option in the Print dialog box that comes up after you choose one of the Print commands from the Buzz Tools menu. You may also be able to solve the printing color problems by obtaining the most current printer drivers available for your printer. You will need to contact your printers vendor to obtain this. The fastest option is very close in quality though, and you may find it an acceptable option. Back to Top
Do I need to move my designs into a Buzz Tools catalog structure for storage or does Buzz Tools read my designs as they appear on my hard drive?Buzz Tools displays your design files where they reside on your hard drive. You do not need to move your designs into a database of any kind so you do not need to worry about duplicating your designs on your computer. When you make changes to your design directories and sub-directories using Explorer, your changes will appear next time you open your design catalog. In addition, you can choose what directories and sub directories to include in your catalog. Buzz Tools Plus prompts you each time it opens for this information. If you are only interested in Flowers, you can go directly to your flowers directory and catalog it without having to read your entire drive of designs. Are you going to be adding support for any other design file types?As of June '98 we have added the SEW, CSD and TXT file formats. We will continue to work on and add new formats in the future. Check the Buzz Tools web site for more information as it becomes available. What about Artista "art" support? Buzz Tools Plus doesn't currently display or convert the ".art" file format.
We don't know when the ART format will be supported - although we do hope to add it in the
future. Can I use Buzz Tools Plus to convert BMP files to stitched designs?No, Buzz Tools Plus only converts stitched based design files to other stitch based designs file formats. Currently you can convert to and from HUS, PCS, PES, PEC (from only), DST, and EXP file types. Will I be able to convert GNC files?Buzz Tools Plus will not mass convert GNC files. We have based this decision on the fact that GNC files are included on disks of many different file formats and we feel that folks who have purchased the Amazing Designs will already have the designs in a format supported by Buzz Tools Plus. |
