These buttons are created from Cernit brand polymer clay, which makes them very tough. You can machine wash and dry them at low temperature or dry clean them. Keep a hot iron away or the claw may start to melt. The design on each button goes through from the front to the back making them reversible (a bird can face either direction). Lots of details are added and small holes are drilled to preserve the design. Use a small sewing or quilting needle with matching thread or floss to stitch the buttons on your project. Most cross stitch needles are too large to fit through the holes.
