![]() | Baby Daygowns V:
Baby Daygowns, Book V includes daygown variations which appear to be specifically gender-.suited. The smocked variations have sleeve and neckline treatments that some people may classify as feminine - too lacev for an infant boy. The same is true for the two "boy" daygowns, the designs that are simple and tailored. However, any of the neckline, sleeve and hemline treatments may be interchanged to create dozens of daygown variations. That is the joy of the "Baby Daygowns" series - and that joy is your own creativity. The sacque length may be used on any of the daygowns presented.
If you have sewn any of the daygowns from previous books in the series, you may notice that the Yoke daygown "seems" larger. The basic fit is the exact same as the other patterns, hilt the fullness of the skirt will make it seem larger: A five-six pound preemie pattern has been added for that reason. It is probablv suitable for many lower birth weight babies that are born today. As alwavs the sleeve, neckline, and hemline variations from the other books in the Baby Daygowns series can be interchanged with these designs so that your creativity is almost limitless. Enjoy! |
